Michael Jordan has donated proceeds from the hit documentary “The Last Dance” to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.
“The Last Dance”, co-produced by ESPN Films and Netflix, revolved around the career of Michael Jordan with particular focus on his final season with the Chicago Bulls.
The series averaged 6.7 million viewers.
Now, some proceeds are going toward warm meals for the nation’s hungry.
Feeding America thanked Jordan for his $2 million gift to the organization.
“In these challenging times and in a year of unimaginable difficulty due to COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to pause and give thanks. I am proud to be donating additional proceeds from The Last Dance to Feeding America and its member food banks in the Carolinas and Chicago to help feed America’s hungry,” Jordan said in a statement.
